Smothered Steak with Stroganoff Noodles

Ingredients

  • 0 lb. boneless sirloin steak
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 large sweet onionfinely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry or red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • green onions
  • 1 package Knorr® Pasta Sides™ - Stroganoffprepared according to package directions

Directions

  1. Grill, broil or pan-fry steak to desired doneness; cover and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, cook bacon in 12-inch nonstick skillet until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside; reserving 1 tablespoon of drippings. And onion to reserved drippings and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until golden. Stir in sherry, scraping brown bits from bottom of skillet. Add beef broth and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until broth has thickened slightly.
  3. Top steak with onion mixture, then sprinkle with green onions and cooked bacon to serve. Serve with Lipton ® Pasta Sides ™ - Stroganoff.
