Slow Cooker Mulled Tea

Ingredients

  • 6 whole cloves
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 1 (3-in.) cinnamon stick
  • 4 cups water
  • 6 Lipton® Cup Size Tea Bags
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 4 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 bottle dry red wine

Directions

  1. In small square of cheesecloth, tie cloves, allspice and cinnamon; set aside.
  2. In 2-quart saucepan, bring water to a boil over high heat. Add Lipton® Cup Size Tea Bags Bags and brew covered 5 minutes. Remove Tea Bags and squeeze. Stir in brown sugar.
  3. In 4-1/2-quart slow cooker, combine tea mixture, juice and spice bundle. Cook covered on HIGH 1 hour. Reduce heat to low. Stir in wine and cook covered on LOW 4 hours. Remove and discard spices. Serve warm and garnish, if desired, with clove-studded orange slices.
