Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changed Recipe?! This used to be my FAVORITE tea. It was hard to find in stores, but when it was in stock I'd buy 5 or 6 boxes at a time. I just bought a new batch yesterday and was very excited to have it with breakfast this morning. I took a sip... GROSS! This tea, which was once light and mellow is now bitter and toxic tasting. I compared the new box with an old one to find that instead of dried peach, apricot and mango pieces, it now contains only Mandarin and Orange peel. I will NOT be buying this again, and I'm returning all of the new boxed I bought immediately. Lipton just ruined a good product. I don't think I'll be buying anything of theirs again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New recipe is terrible For years, this has been my favorite tea. It's been hard to find, so I searched the web site for stores that carry it. It was at a local drug store and I bought two boxes. As an earlier reviewer stated, it just does not taste as good as the prior version. I thought maybe it was a special drugstore version. Unfortunately, it has the same UPC code as the prior formula and is apparently the replacement. I really don't like the taste and won't buy any more. I was lucky to find three of the old boxes in a cabinet in my vacation home. I plan to ration those boxes and make them last as long as possible. I'll even try to reuse them for multiple cups; I'm desperate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Follow-up to original post I originally posted saying Lipton had altered their recipe of the Mandarin Green Tea, and that the result had not been an improvement. Happy to report that I have since posting my feedback two months ago, I have purchased yet another box to give it another try, and they seem to have heeded our comments and restored the original recipe, more or less. The Mandarin flavour doesn't seem to be quite as strong, as the original; it seems to taste more of just green tea, but perhaps that varies by teabag. In any event, glad to see Lipton heeded our remarks and I'm glad to have this great tea back, again!! GreenTeaFan

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Original ingredients! I have to say, Mandarin Orange is okay on certain mornings. But what I mess the most is the original ingredients. Original, has a nice peach smell and the taste was smooth, I would drink at least 3 cup of just this version a day. But since the new version has come out.. I am down to one. I wish Lipton would either change the name to Peach Orange and bring back the ingredients well love. While keeping the Mandarin Orange separate. Original - Green Tea, Dried Peach pieces, (modified corn starch)<-why, Natural flavor, Dried apricot Pieces, Dried Mango Pieces. New - Green Tea, Mandarin Peel, Orange Peel, (modified corn starch) <-why, natural flavor. I am sure Lipton has a similar version with paper tea bag. But I prefer the mesh bags over the paper!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why did you change? Why did you change "Mandarin Orange Flavored Green Tea Made with Real Pieces of Fruit" to "Mandarin Orange Green Tea"? The new version tastes bitter and chemical? Where can I buy the previous version? It had the same UPC as your new version so I cannot search UPCs. Please help.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back old recipe please!! Thank goodness I am not the only one who noticed a change in the recipe.. I thought I was going crazy! I used to buy this tea ALL THE TIME, however I took a break from it (since I drank it for so many years), and was very disappointed at the new taste. Looked at the ingredients and saw: peaches, apricots, and mangos.. This tea has never even seen a mandarin orange, let alone taste like it! I swear it used to taste more like citrus and less like what I imagine cat urine tastes like. I am just very disappointed and hope that someone realizes how much they ruined this once wonderful tea!
