Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Packaging Who's idea was this ! ! ! ! I am used to grabbing a few tea bags when I go to work or visit with folks who are coffee drinkers..... can't do that anymore. Also when I have company and am rushing to prepare snack... I rush to the box to grab the tea bags and now I have to open a foil package and pull out un wrapped tea bags to hand to my guests for their teacup........ not good hygiene. please change this bad idea back to the great product we have always respected...... or it's Twinings for me. By the way I get the same feeling when I reach for a teabag and I have to open an individual foil package that I used to get when the box was empty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What have you DONe! So I went to my store to pick up Lipton tea and too my surprise you changed the way you package the tea. I thought this may be good. Until I went home to make tea. There is aftertaste that is there. I thought maybe just my taste buds. This morning I had another cup and the aftertaste was still there. I hope you only did this packaging for 100 and do not plan to do this to all your tea products. I will try one more time to make ice tea like I have always done. If it turns it out well. I will upgrade my overall rating but. It may be sad that I may not be using your Lipton tea anymore. all because of packing change that has changed the taste of tea.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fire the team that came up with the new packaging While I do not believe that this review will make one bit of difference to you, it may to the company that makes the next box of tea I buy - because it won't be Lipton! This new packaging design is horrible. I now have to carry a plastic box to hole my tea when I go to work, the strings fall into the hot water, there is tea dust everywhere. Given that I have seen reviews against the new packaging going back at least six months, I can only think that this packaging is a cheaper process for you and there is no hope of you going back to the old style, regardless of your customers' half a century of brand loyalty. I will be finding a new tea.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from OMG! much more than the packagingchanged-AWFUL!! I was really bummed with the new packaging- more like the new "NO packaging" - hate the fact that the bags are not individually wrapped.......but they have done something far worse....these are not the same tea bags! The flavor is awful - the tea is muddy instead of that wonderful clear tea I've known for more than 50 years. This stuff is not even drinkable. They've pulverized the tea, so it leaves a scum and cloudy tea- and the taste is dreadful. I couldn't believe it- made 3 different pots of tea with this new box of 100.......and threw the rest of it in the trash - it is disgusting 'tea' - cannot believe the Lipton name is on this product. I won't buy it again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New Packaging is Terrible! I am very disappointed in the new packaging of the Lipton black tea tea bags. I have purchased Lipton tea in the box of 100 individually wrapped teabags for over 45 years, and prefer Lipton tea to all others. I have always kept the individual teabags in my purse, or have packed them in my suitcase when traveling. But with the current uncovered teabag I will not be able to do that. I am afraid I will have to switch to another brand of tea, and that is unfortunate. Please reconsider your packaging. I find it very wasteful and unpractical. I see by the other comments that I am not alone in this concern. Thank you for your consideration of your loyal customers' requests.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Taste and new packaging is awful. My grandmother turned me on to Lipton tea when I was just a young lad - she believed it was the cure-all for any ailment physical or emotional. As an adult, I introduced it to my children and they are all Lipton tea drinkers today. Unfortunately the flavor and packaging is not to my liking. I am sure you have not changed the formula for the tea, so I assume that it may be the new packaging. I have made the purchase twice with the new packaging and have kept it sealed but do not enjoy it as I used to. Please reconsider the old standby individual wrappers. You have had a fantastic winner for years; don't make changes that disrupt your clients love of the product...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why change a good thing? Dear Lipton, I can see why you changed the packaging to the large foil packs... I don't like it but understand it. What I don't get is why you re-formulated the actual tea... it tastes so different now than it did back when it was in the paper packs. I made 3 gallons of tea over a week trying to figure out what was going wrong and why it tasted so bad (almost fruity) only to realize it was due to me buying a new box of the foil wrapped tea. I hope you reconsider at least to change the type/formula of the tea back to its original state... as it is I have had to switch to another brand, which is sad as my family has used Lipton tea as a staple for many generations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I want the envelope back The beauty of Lipton tea has always been the envelop in which the tea bag sits. You can grab a few and put them in your shirt for use later in the day, keep some in your car for restaurants that do not have just straight good-old Lipton tea. and keep some in your travel bag for the same purpose. Now it is gone. So not only have they increased the price for the new dumb box but now for a second increase in price we get smaller bags without protective envelopes. So you have just lost a customer for life, and I have 4-5 cups of tea a day. There are other brands out there without envelopes so I will go to them.
